Sarah Bicknell
Sarah Maclean Bicknell is an internationally recognized teacher, coach and mystic. Her focus is diagnosis, repair and recovery of individual and organizational trauma and dysfunction. She focuses primarily on the organizational dynamics “below the water line” and is able to delve deeply and quickly into the obstacles that cause people and organizations to become “stuck.” She has studied shamanic healing work in the Lakota tradition for 20 years and has incorporated the field of Bio Optics and the 22 Questions into her present practice.
Sarah’s effectiveness as a teacher and mentor is seated in her ability to move quickly with a core style of kindness, pragmatism, humor, and discipline. In workshops she is adept at deep listening, enabling her to tease out and distill core issues in both individuals and groups. She synthesizes information quickly to determine what is really needed to shift entire belief systems and to break up the gridlocks that keep people and organizations from arriving at their best work.
Sarah was born in 1949 in Cambridge, England. She arrived in the USA twenty years later and raised her family in Washington State. In 1988 Sarah experienced a “wake up call” that opened up a Native American path and training for her. Two years later she was adopted into her native family where she was handed down permission to conduct traditional ceremonies. In 2003 Sarah opened her shamanic practice in the Seattle area, conducting workshops and healing work also in Grass Valley, and Pasadena, California and Glastonbury England.
“Sarah’s workshops are amazingly designed to reach every person in the room, exactly where they are. She can move a group through a series of individual and collaborative projects in a way that is fluid, energetically dynamic, and always with a foundation of levity and fun so needed for deeply personal work.”
–Susan Jones, N.D.
“I have worked with Sarah for over a year now and have changed in so many ways it is almost impossible to articulate. I am happier than I have ever been in my life. I have struggled for years with self-esteem issues, struggled with addictions and a painful eating disorder, having grown up with a bi-polar parent. I have spent half of my life seeking relief. Nothing was able to help me heal the way Sarah has been able to support me to do in a very short period of time.”
